The Africa Health Facilities Week will host over 1,200 senior health care leaders and practitioners across the continent. The event is the prime forum on innovative strategies in facilities design, plan and development retrofitting, waste management, clinical governance and IT solutions driving change, improving patient care and achieving value in the rapidly changing health care industry. It is a fully content driven educational event that explores how advances in information technology are enabling innovation in care delivery, improving quality of care and achieving measurable results while lowering the cost of care. There will be dedicated focus, also on the most promising advances in health facilities planning and construction, health care quality and safety and performance improvement with particular emphasis on the leaders role and responsibilities in hospitals and health systems. It will look at the leadership commitment needed to reinvent health facilities, strengthen physician relationships, examine opportunities for financing and payment reform, and explore strategies for engaging the workforce in creating cultures that attract and retain critical personnel and result in better health services delivery experience.
